AUMA India Private Limited is a 100% subsidiary of AUMA Germany, a global leader in manufacturing of Electric Actuators and valve gear boxes. Tired with frequent power cuts and consistently increasing utility tariff AUMA decided to venture into installing solar power to increase their self-reliance for energy as well as continue taking initiative for making greener environment.
Even though available roof area to mount solar rooftop system was huge with detailed analysis done by Enerparc installation of first phase was limited only to 151KWp to balance loads properly minimize or avoid throttling of inverters and protect any reverse feed in absence of net metering possibility. With installed system running smoothly and achieving their goals of savings in energy cost they were waiting for expanding system to cover all the available roof area. With no time wasted after announcement of Net metering policy in state of Karnataka, Enerparc team encouraged them to go for next expansion phase and helped them not only in installing solar system but also apply for net metering permissions and complete process of enabling net metering.
Second phase saw installation of another 224KWp to already existing system taking total installed solar power capacity to 375KWp which is almost equivalent to their connected loads. AUMA took the lead and became first net meter connected customer in Peenya Industrial estate and also amongst the first to adopt solar energy solution for self-consumption.
Installation is a combination of system installed on flat roofs over Administration offices and Slant roofs of manufacturing unit with net metering connection and reverse power protection on DG side.
