A 1 MW solar power plant was constructed on the parcel of land available within the campus. It supplies the power to GMR Institute of Technology as well as GMR Care Hospital and is managed under GMR Rajam Solar Power Private. Ltd, in RESCO model. The plant has helped the GMR group reduce its energy costs as well as bolster its sustainable credentials.
